I’m beyond thrilled to have once again collaborated with Emmy Award-winning master composer Silas Hite on his incredible new album, CHICHA MACABRE!
This album draws inspiration from 1970s Peruvian chicha music and blends it seamlessly with dialogue samples from newly uncovered archival documentary footage. Together, they hint at a twisted narrative involving a mysterious creature, ancient temples, doomed explorers, and vicious jungle predators—evoking the feel of an epic action-horror film set deep in the unforgiving jungles of South America.
It was an absolute blast creating artwork for this diabolically kick-ass album.
The first single is now available on Spotify, but You can pick up a copy of the limited edition translucent green vinyl record HERE
Here are a few sloppy scribbled rough concept layouts, perfunctory preliminary sketches, and base illustrations created while working the artwork for Chicha Macabre
